Doubling the Cube is an attempt to visualize extra-dimensional space.

This series of kinetic sculptures was designed for a gallery with eleven electrical outlets, a parallel to the eleven dimensions posited by string theory. When plugged into its outlet, each object begins a clumsy attempt to illustrate what it might be like to move through higher dimensions. That is, with the exception of Dimension_09, which is the one I never figured out.
